Saat kalian membaca ini, aku sudah berada di Bloomington, Indiana, USA. Waa kehidupan baruku sebagai FLTA Bahasa Indonesia di Indiana University Bloomington dimulai. Gimana rasanya? Alhamdulillah seneng banget dan walaupun agak grogi tapi gak pa pa. Berkat doa semua orang yang selama ini mendoakanku, aku bersyukur selalu dipertemukan dengan banyak orang baik. Sejak aku berangkat dari rumahku di Bali hingga aku sampai di Bloomington, Allah SWT melancarkan perjalanan panjangku. Terima kasih semuanya. Semoga Allah SWT membalas semua kebaikan kalian dengan memberikan yang terbaik dalam hidup kalian. Semoga harapan dan doa-doa kalian semua diijabah. I wrote this post on August 13, 2024, at Ngurah Rai Airport, Bali while waiting for my flight to Soekarno Hatta Airport, Tangerang. That means 1 day left before my departure to Bloomington, Indiana. How am I feeling? In all honesty, I don’t know. It’s kind of unreal though. I still can’t believe I will leave for the USA and stay there for the next 10 months. Is it happening? Some part of me is surprisingly calm. I’m not nervous or scared. A few days before my departure, I did things I usually do. I went to my office, taught English to my students, spent time with my mom and dad, played with my adorable cats, and did my hobbies. It’s crazy to think they will all shift in just a few days. My daily routine would be much different. I will live in a completely new environment with new people I’ve never met before. Things are starting to change just like how seasons are. Hello! I’m back! There are only a few days left before I go to the US. I have mixed feelings about this. On one side I’m looking forward to having new adventures, meeting new people, and everything. However, I feel sad leaving my parents, family, and cute cats for the next 10 months. Is this what every international student feels when they have to leave? I’m sure it is. Like who wouldn’t?  Okay! Enough with the small talk. The real purpose of this blog post is to share my next FLTA journey after going through those confusing and exhausting medical checkups and vaccinations. Again, everything written here is based on my experiences. My blog is not affiliated with Fulbright or AMINEF so this is not official information or remarks from them.
